Justice & Police Museum

Justice & Police Museum is located at the bustling transport hub of Circular Quay. This majestic sandstone complex was originally the Water Police Court (1856), Water Police Station (1858) and Police Court (1886).

The museum’s dedicated event space, the Blacket Court, was relaunched to the events market following an extensive refurbishment incorporating a new innovative lighting system for both day and evening events and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment including data projection, an integrated audio system and high speed Internet access.

Featuring a Magistrate's bench and canopy, the Blacket Court is ideal for conferences, workshops, product launches and themed events from mock trials and mediaeval banquets to cabaret-style events. This room boasts high ceilings, excellent acoustics and opens onto the sandstone Albert Street entrance and foyer.

The Blacket Court lends itself to a multitude of uses, seating 100 guests for a banquet, 64 guests cabaret-style, 120 guests theatre-style, and up to 160 guests for cocktails or 250 guests if the entire venue is utilised. The impressive Sandstone Verandah overlooking Circular Quay and the Sydney Harbour Bridge is also included in the hire.

The Yellow Room is perfect for intimate dinners for up to 36 guests or cocktail receptions for 90 guests. Justice & Police Museum is fully equipped to cater for a diverse range of events making it one of Sydney’s truly unique venues.
